- Each student pays for his full college term.
- Refunds are not given for absences during term time
- Ordinary Student Rates apply to students on full-time degree courses at the London Universities or equivalent programmes.*
- Other Student Rates apply to students on other courses (e.g. EFL students) and remunerated and non remunerated internships.
* The hall management committee has the right to decide what is an equivalent programme.
What do the Fees Include?
- Fees paid are for centrally heated single rooms (some en-suite available).
- Fees include breakfast and dinner on weekdays, breakfast, lunch and high tea on weekends.
- Most special medical, vegetarian and religious diets can be catered for.
- Bed linen and towels are provided and laundered regularly by the house.
- Bedrooms and common areas are cleaned every weekday.
- Access to the internet in dedicated computer rooms.
Extras
- Personal Laundry
An external company runs a laundry service for Netherhall residents at a discount price. The standard service costs £9.00 per week and includes the normal washing load for a week plus collection and delivery. - Alternatively there is a launderette 4 minutes walk from the hall.
- Extra Meals
Weekday lunch is available - cost £4.00.
- House Contribution
Each resident staying more than 4 weeks pays £11.00 per term or part term to the House Committee fund. This money funds subscriptions to newspapers, DVD screenings, and expenses for activities organised by students such as the annual play, comedy show, etc. £1 is for the running of the Former Residents Association.
Further Details
- Extension of Stay
Those students wishing to remain in Netherhall during the summer vacation or for the next academic year must apply in writing before April.
- Notice Periods
- Netherhall House generally offers places for the academic year from October to June. Any resident wishing to leave before the end of the academic year should do so at the end of the 1st or 2nd term. Where a resident leaves part through a term no refund of fees will be paid.
- Where a resident wishes to leave Netherhall at the end of the 1st or 2nd term he should give at least 4 week's term time written notice to the directors. Vacation periods cannot form all or part of the notice period.
- (Residents are expected to pay fees for the entire 3rd term. If they wish to leave prior to the official end of their 3rd term they must still pay fees to the official end of their 3rd term.)
- Check Out Time
Students should vacate the room by 10.20am of the day of departure. Nothing may be stored in the Hall after the resident leaves the hall.
- Vacations
Netherhall remains open all through the year. Residents are welcome to stay during the Christmas and Easter break. Residents not staying will not have to pay rent provided they vacate their rooms. During the summer term a limited number of rooms will be available for students.
